Hello, I’m Yuen Xin and I graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with First Class Honours (BDS Hons) in 2022. It is my pleasure to be a part of the awesome team at Kapiti Dental!
I am genuinely passionate about all aspects of dentistry and you will definitely see that come through when you are in the chair with me. My goal as a dentist is to not only help you achieve your best smile, but also make sure that it stays healthy for years to come.
I strive to always provide a gentle and compassionate dental experience while upholding the highest standards of excellence. I am committed to continuing education that will allow me to offer you the most innovative and effective treatments available. I love to integrate the latest techniques and technologies into my care so that I can provide you with the most efficient and comfortable dental experience.
Outside of dentistry, I am a big foodie and enjoy baking, cooking, and exploring different food places. I also love to travel and have been to numerous countries around the globe.

After graduating from the University of Otago in December 2015 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (BBiomedSc) I was thrilled to start my journey in private practice in Masterton, especially after having grown up in Wellington.
Since starting I have introduced many of the latest technologies into the field and we now offer a comprehensive range of services all in-house. The most rewarding part is to be providing world class dental care locally in the Wellington region.
What I love about being a dentist is taking the time to get to know my patients, and putting them at ease during their visits while delivering a high standard of dental care. My focus largely is on full mouth reconstructions, smile makeovers and implant dentistry. Same day smile makeovers are my favourite.
I am very grateful to have a profession which I am so passionate about, and I get to work alongside talented dentists with a diverse skill set to collaborate with to bring the best outcomes to people. Since graduating I have taken many opportunities to travel worldwide and attend the most reputable residency programmes including full mouth rehabilitation, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, and dental implantology. I have ongoing affiliations with NZ dental association (NZDA), Wellington branch of dentists association and NZ sedation dentistry (NZSSD).
When Im not looking at teeth or travelling, I thoroughly enjoy the relaxed lifestyle the Wairarapa offers. In the summertime I can be found on the beach or entertaining friends and colleagues from out of town. My hobbies include fitness and racquet sports like badminton and squash.
Dr Olivia Henzell

Dr Olivia Henzell graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Otago in 2016. Since then, she has pursued additional qualifications, including Fellowships in Restorative Dentistry and Aligner Orthodontics, reinforcing her advanced expertise in these areas. She is currently undertaking a third Fellowship in Modern Implantology and is eager to integrate this service into her clinical offerings.
Dr Henzell has accumulated broad experience across both public and private dental sectors in New Zealand and has spent the past two years practicing in regional Queensland, Australia. Her clinical passion lies in transformative dentistry—particularly for patients who have long avoided care. She finds profound satisfaction in restoring their confidence and well-being through comprehensive treatment plans and smile makeovers. Patients appreciate her compassionate approach and her ability to make even complex treatments feel manageable.
Her professional interests centre on restorative and cosmetic dentistry, with a special focus on clear aligner therapy, full-mouth rehabilitation, and aesthetic smile design. She also enjoys incorporating cutting-edge digital technologies—such as CEREC—for designing and delivering same-day crowns, a process she finds both efficient and creatively fulfilling.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Henzell is passionate about dental education. She serves as an educator for RIPE Global, an international dental education platform, and previously contributed to the New Zealand Dental Association’s mentorship program, guiding early-career dentists. She finds mentoring both rewarding and integral to the growth of the profession.

Dr. Kenny Kim graduated with an honours degree from the University of Otago. Upon graduating he began working in Timaru and Geraldine in private practice and now splits his time between Masterton, Geraldine and Wellington.
Dr. Kenny has the belief that all communities, no matter how small, should have access to all treatments available in dentistry. Therefore, he has developed advanced skills in all aspects of dentistry particularly in the fields of dental implants, Orthodontics (braces) and cosmetics. He continues to expand on treatments he is able to provide to the community by attending numerous internationally recognised postgraduate training.
Dr Asyraf Edlin

Asyraf was born and raised in Malaysia before moving to Aotearoa in 2017. Asyraf has a patient-centered approach to dentistry with an emphasis on preventive care. He has a special interest in healthy gums (periodontics) and a passion for helping people overcome their dental anxiety.
On his off days he may be out fishing or on the golf course practicing his swing.

Dr Jason (Jungmin) Lee graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and University of Auckland with Bachelor of Science. He is passionate about delivering high-quality dental care. With a keen interest in oral surgery and restorative dentistry, Dr. Lee is committed to helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles through personalized treatment.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lee enjoys playing tennis and football. He looks forward to welcoming you to the clinic and helping you achieve your best smile!
